The International Federation of Elite Sports (FIESSA) has officially launched its comprehensive initiative titled the “Global Elite Empowerment Platform”, aimed at supporting elite athletes and promoting sustainable development in international sports communities.
This initiative, designed by FIESSA’s Education, Development, and Empowerment Committees, provides educational, advisory, and supportive opportunities to athletes at all stages of their careers.
Dr. Hamid Ansarifar, President of FIESSA, stated during the launch event in Lausanne:
“At FIESSA, we believe that elite athletes are not only ambassadors of physical excellence but also carriers of human and social values. This program seeks to create a safer and more empowered pathway for their professional and post-professional lives.”
Key components of the program include life skills workshops, financial literacy training, psychological support, and international networking opportunities.
The initiative will first be piloted in five countries: France, Iran, Kenya, Japan, and Brazil. If successful, FIESSA plans to expand it to over 50 member nations by the end of 2026.
